1.1 Device and usage information (automatic)

When the app starts, it contacts our update server to check whether a newer version is available. In that request we send the following limited technical information:

• A randomly generated device identifier (not your advertising ID, IMEI or phone number)
• Device brand and model (e.g. Xiaomi, M2101K9C)
• Operating system name and version
• System language (e.g. en-US)
• App version and resource-package version
• Timestamp of the launch request

This information is used only in aggregate to count installs and active users, understand which devices and app versions are in use, and decide when to deliver updates. It is not used to build an advertising profile and is never sold.

1.2 Content you create in the app

Bookmarks, reading progress, prayer-time settings, alarm settings and recordings you create are stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

Every permission is requested only when the related feature is used, and you can refuse or revoke it at any time in your device settings. Refusing a permission disables only the feature that depends on it; the rest of the app keeps working.

• Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
• Your contacts, SMS, call logs or calendar
• Your advertising identifier (we integrate no advertising SDK)
• Your location history — location is used on device for a single calculation and is not stored
• Payment or financial information (the app has no in-app purchases)
• Photos, audio or files other than those you deliberately select or create in the app

• To provide core features: Quran reading and audio, prayer times, Qibla direction, alarms, Dua and Hadith libraries
• To check for and deliver app and resource updates
• To measure aggregate installs and active usage so we can improve reliability and prioritise features
• To diagnose crashes and compatibility problems across device models and OS versions
• To respond to your support requests

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that affects your rights.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:

• Service providers. Our hosting and content-delivery providers process technical request data (such as IP address in server logs) strictly to deliver app content and updates on our behalf.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by applicable law, regulation, legal process or a binding request from a competent authority.
• Protection of rights. We may disclose information where necessary to investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents, or to protect our users and our legal rights.
• Business transfer. If the app or our business is merged, acquired or sold, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not share data with advertising networks or data brokers.

Device records used for statistics are retained for up to 24 months from the last launch, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Aggregate statistics that cannot identify a device may be kept longer. Content stored locally on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the app.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited data we process, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because the app does not require an account and keeps most data on your device, your exposure is limited by design.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Because we do not use accounts, the simplest way to exercise these rights is:

• Delete local data: clear the app's data in your system settings, or uninstall the app
• Revoke permissions: Settings → Apps → Quran Pro → Permissions
• Delete your statistical record: email us with your device identifier (shown in the app's About/Settings screen) and we will delete the matching record
• Opt out of analytics: contact us and we will remove your device record; the app continues to work normally

We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

Quran Pro is suitable for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Our servers may be located outside your country. The limited technical data described above may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using the app you consent to this processing.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page before they take effect. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
